Things to Keep in Mind when applying to CEGEP

    Admission verdicts:

Not passing High School Diploma (HSD) requirements at time of application:

    ·    The student will be refused entry to their requested program and cannot reapply
until they can provide an official document (report card or diploma)
    demonstrating passing grades.

Not passing program prerequisite(s) at time of application:

    ·  The student may be refused.

    ·  The student can reapply to the same program in a subsequent round with proof of a
    passing grade(s).

    ·  The student can apply in a subsequent round to a program for which they are meeting
    the program prerequisite(s).

    · The student can apply in a subsequent round to Springboard (and request a change of program prior to the start of the semester if they pass the program prerequisite(s) and space in the program is available).

    Final outcomes:

    Failure to meet HSD requirements:

    ·    A student missing a maximum of 6 credits towards the completion of their HSD may
be admitted to a Springboard/LS24 semester with the condition that they pass
the missing credits by the end of the first semester. The student’s overall
academic achievement will be assessed, and only those with otherwise strong
grades will be offered this opportunity.

    Failure to meet program prerequisites:

    · The student may request a change of program ($25 fee), space pending.
