Principal

Principal McLaren walked through the doors of PHS in 2007 with a fresh degree from Lakehead University and a determination to educate and inspire students.  He has been here every day since. 

His career began in special education, then social studies, connecting with students across a wide range of ages and needs. After 14 years in the classroom, he made the move into administration, first as Vice-Principal and now as Principal.  The motivation was straightforward: to have a greater impact on student success.

When not at school, Mr. McLaren and his wife Julianne are kept busy raising two energetic sons who share the family’s love of the outdoors and summer adventures on the Ottawa River.
