Luke is currently a teacher at Pontiac High School. Murphy joined the P.H.S staff in 2016 after receiving his Bachelor of Education degree at the University of Ottawa. Murphy attended P.P.H.S from 1988-1992 where he played varsity soccer, basketball and rugby. He earned a four-year hockey scholarship to NCAA Division 3 Rochester Institute of Technology and graduated from RIT in 1999 with a degree in Business – Marketing. During his four years at RIT, Murphy’s teams made three NCAA final four appearances and played in one championship game. He was selected for the NCAA All-American team twice, and broke the school’s single-season assist record in 97-98. Murphy signed a minor league contract with the Florida Panthers in 1999, and played six seasons of professional hockey before retiring in 2005. In 2012, Murphy, signed his second big contract, this time with a publishing firm, Imajin Books. Luke is now the bestselling author of two fictional series.
